Nature is an intrinsic part of working as an artist. Part of my daily routine is walking through the surrounding bush land and along the nearby Brook. This keeps me aware of the subtle changes of season - a direct link to the local environment. These natural landscapes, along with my emotional responses, inform the colours, light, forms and moods of my work.

I am interested in discovering purpose through creativity. Neuroscience tells us “vision is by far our most dominant sense, taking up half of our brain’s resources”, so it makes sense to me to create art to help find meaning.

Creative collaboration is at the centre of my practice.  In my quest to understand humanity, I seek out mentors and collaborators who can advance my thinking, extend my skills and nurture my curiosity. In this way Lines in the Sand has been so valuable in connecting me to art-minded people who agree that creativity is a renewable resource.
